Want to get to know a little bit more about us
Sally is the Co-Founder and CEO of Cara Living. Cara Living was set up in 2020, to offer older people a choice to live in a community that Inspires Love of Life.
Sally began her career in the Hospitality industry and spent 10 years there before joining the NHS in Northern Ireland, where she had a humbling but formative beginning as a care giver.
In 2005, Sally set up Irish Homecare in County Monaghan. From being one of the first private providers in Domiciliary Care, Irish Homecare went on to become one of the leaders of the industry in Ireland. Sally worked in every department from recruitment to board level. Over the course of 15 years, Sally grew the company to more than 600 staff and won procurement agreements to provide services for the HSE in all 26 counties.
During Sally’s tenure as CEO, the company won business awards in Q Mark. The company was short listed every year from 2012 to 2019 in their category, being runner up in 2015, 2018 and overall winner in 2019 before the company was sold in 2020 so that Sally could peruse Cara Living.
